Pterocera emerici (d'Orbigny, 1843)


Original description of Pterocera emerici by d’Orbigny, 1843:

  • "P. testâ elongatâ; spirâ, angulo 28°; anfractibus latis, convexis, ultimo carinato."
  • "Coquille allongée, presque turriculée. Spire formée d'un angle régulier, composée de tours très-larges, très-convexes; le dernier est fortement anguleux et paraît se dila ter fortement."

Locus typicus: Saint-Martin, near d'Escragnolle, Alpes-Maritimes Department, France

Stratum typicum: "Neocomian", lower Cretaceous
