Rostellaria mailleana d’Orbigny, 1843


Original description of Rostellaria mailleana by d’Orbigny, 1843:

  • "R. testâ elongatâ; spirâ, angulo 40º; anfractibus convexis, subangulatis, ultimo bicarinato, subtuberculato."
  • " Coquille assez allongée. Spire formée d'un angle régulier, composée de tours anguleux, dont le dernier pourvu de deux légères carènes longitudinales a, de plus, des indices de tubercules sur la carène inférieure."

Locus typicus: Mount Sainte-Catherine, near Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France

Stratum typicum: "Craie chloritée", Turonian, upper Cretaceous
