Original Description of Strombus delucianus by Risso, 1826, p. 227:

  • "S. Testa opaca, glabra, nitida; anfractubus novem ad dextram longitudinaliter tuberculatis, lineis longitudinalibus et transversis sculptis; anfractu basilari super siphonem profunde et late canaliculato."
  • Coq. opaque, lisse, luisante; à neuf tours de spire tubercules longitudinalement à droite, et sculptés de lignes longitudinales et transversales; le premier tour de spire profondément et largement canalículé sur le canal. Long. 0,118 Séj."
