History and Synonymy

2006

Atta-Peters & Salami, 2006, p. 380:

  • "Cox (1952) used fossil lamellibrachs and gastropods to date the Nauli limestone as Campanian. Khan (1970) and recent reports from some borehole data by oil companies indicate a Maastrichtian age for this unit."

2009

Kollmann, 2009 comments:

  • "C. africana Cox, 1952, from Campanian deposits of Ghana needs closer examination because of its oblique columella."
