Original description of Pterocera fusoides by Dollfus, 1863:

  • "P. testa elongata, ovata; spira angulo 62°; anfractibus convexis, laevigatis, ultimo anfraclu elongato. non carinato ; canali arcuato."
  • "Coquille inconnue. Spire formée d'un angle régulier, composée de tours convexes, bombés, lisses; le dernier tour est très-allongé, et parfaitement lisse aussi. Labre inconnu. Canal semblant devoir être très-long et fortement arqué."

Locus typicus: Cap de la Hève, Le Havre, Seine-Maritime, France
