Original Description of Diempterus lonqueueanus by Buvignier in Piette, 1876:

  • "Testa turrita, fusiformi, transverse costellata, longitudinaliter striata, varicibus tenuissimis, spinis subrectis longisque armata; anfractibus carinatis; carina mediana, subpostica, costellis paulo eminentiori; ultimo anfractu bicarinato, ad carinam posticam gibboso; apertura oblonga; canali recto."

Locus typicus: Souilly, Meuse, France
