Original Description of Alaria zigni by De Gregorio, 1880:

  • "Testa maxime elegans, fragilis, elongata; anfractibus circiter 12; primis rotundatis granulosis, ceteris in medio magis magisque angulato-carinatis, spiraliter axilariterque resticulatis; resticulis axilaribus autem aliquantum distantibus, regularibus, spirales clathrantibus; ex spiralibus quibusdam majoribus; basi ultimi anfractus plerumque harum inter duas quadam minore interposita, axilaribusque evanescentibus; ultimo anfractu ad peripheriam turgidulo, carinatoque, basi conico; labris subparallelis; externo paulo expanso, anguste sed oblonge quatuor vel plus ? digitato, intus sulcato."
