Original Description of Terebellum pliciferum by Bayan, 1870, p. 481:

  • "Se distingue de presque toutes les espèces connues par l'existence de plis sur sa surface, et du T. plicatum, d'Archiac, par sa forme plus ventrue, sa spire plus courte et plus recouverte par le dernier tour, et la persistance des plis jusqu'au bord antérieur vers lequel ils se prolongent parallélement au labre.
