Original description of Terebellum humilispirum by Raven, 2021:

  • "Small size Terebellum (h up to 17.4 mm, w up to 5.4 mm) with very low spire, the tip of the aperture is very close to the apex (at less than 1/10th of shell height), from where there is a very gradual change to the aperture. The shell has only two (or slightly less) whorls. The sides are slightly con¬vex, with its widest point at 4/10th from the apex, the edge of the aperture gradually expands to the ventral side, until 1/8th from the abapical side where it is broadest and sharply curves back towards the dorsal side where there is a shallow indent for the sipho."

Locus typicus: Beraya-Tusan seacliffs 3.6 km (outcrop A), Sarawak, Malaysia

Stratum typicum: Miri Formation, middle Miocene
