Original Description of Rostellaria cingulata by Pictet & Roux, 1849, p. 125:

  • "R. testa elongata; spira angulo 23°; anfractibus convexis, longitudinaliter 4-costatis; apertura semi-circulari."
  • Nous ne connaissons que le moule. Espece allongée, conique. Spire formée d'un angle un peu convexe, composée de tours convexes, nettement séparés par des sutures un peu déprimées, ornés en long de quatre côtes simples, régulièrement espacées entr'elles. Bouche ovale, presque semi-circulaire."
