Original Description of Alaria armata by Morris & Lycett, 1851:

  • "Testa turrita, anfractibus carinatis, et angulato-nodosis, nodis prominentibus 6 in ambitu. Anfractu ultimo gibbo, bicarinato; carina superiori prominentiori spinis acutis; in aetate juniori digitis tribus parvis; in aetate adulta digitis superioribus duobus longissimus. Cauda longa curvata. Striis tenuissimis confertis transversis, plerumque obsoletis."
