Original description of Pterocera icaunensis by Cotteau, 1854:

  • "Espèce à cinq digitations, marquée, sur toute sa surface, de stries longitudinales régulières, espacées, peu apparentes. Spire courte. Tour buccal renflé, très-largement développé."

Locus typicus: Egriselles-le-Bocage near Auxerre, Yonne, France
