- "Aporrhaid gastropods with two labral projections: one posterior, situated posterior to whorl periphery, broad and laterally directed proximally, bent posteriorly in the middle; anterior projection short, spatulate or plug-like, situated about midway between posterior projection and anterior end of last whorl; anterior sulcus of labrum broad and low; shell covered with callus in the adult; sculpture primitively nearly smooth, to markedly spiral, strongest on whorl shoulder."
